Pro-Life Man Sued by Abortion Groups for Calling Abortion Murder

Mark Lee Dickson, a pro-life activist in Texas, is being sued by three pro-abortion organizations for referring to abortion groups as “criminal organizations” and abortion as “murder.” Dickson is the director of Right to Life East Texas, an organization that has worked to declare various cities and towns in Texas as sanctuaries for the pre-born. The same abortion groups that are now suing him – the Lilith Fund, the Afiya Center, and the Texas Equal Access Fund – had previously worked with the ACLU of Texas and ACLU National to sue cities for banning abortion within their jurisdiction. Congrats to Maddi Runkles on her high school graduation!

Maddi Runkles has had a heck of a senior year – from learning she was pregnant, to being barred from her high school graduation of her Christian school because she was pregnant, and then becoming a household name in a matter of days when her story went public and became an international headline.

But today it was all worth it. Maddi officially became a high school graduate, getting her diploma in a private ceremony with over 100 family and friends – and many of us from Students for Life of America who were more than thrilled to celebrate this special day with her.

“We are so proud of Maddi for not only her courage to make a good decision in difficult circumstances, but to be an example to other students in similar situations and challenge Christian schools on their policies towards pregnant students like herself,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. “I have no doubt that hearts and minds will be changed because of Maddi’s courage and willingness to share her story. We gave her nearly 7,000 messages of support today that poured in from people around the world who encouraged her and were inspired by her. It was an honor to celebrate Maddi’s achievements today and we can’t wait to meet her baby boy in the fall.”
