Pro-Life Man Sued by Abortion Groups for Calling Abortion Murder

Mark Lee Dickson, a pro-life activist in Texas, is being sued by three pro-abortion organizations for referring to abortion groups as “criminal organizations” and abortion as “murder.” Dickson is the director of Right to Life East Texas, an organization that has worked to declare various cities and towns in Texas as sanctuaries for the pre-born. The same abortion groups that are now suing him – the Lilith Fund, the Afiya Center, and the Texas Equal Access Fund – had previously worked with the ACLU of Texas and ACLU National to sue cities for banning abortion within their jurisdiction. 2017 Group of the Year Nominations

It’s Time for Group of the Year Nominations!

Every year, Students for Life of America is honored to present these awards to deserving groups and student leaders.

The cash prizes can help further the outreach efforts and the effectiveness of these groups on their campuses.

We need you to nominate the groups and leaders you think deserve recognition – you can even nominate your own group!

The categories for nominations and prize amounts are:

2017 College Group of the Year– $1,000 prize
2017 New College Group of the Year- $500 prize
2017 Pregnant on Campus Group of the Year– $250 (in gift cards)
2017 High School Group of the Year- $1,000 prize
2017 New High School Group of the Year– $500 prize

Students for Life groups will be judged on a variety of factors, including events, the size of the group, and success in pushing back against pro-abortion efforts on campus.

The Pregnant on Campus Group Award will recognize the achievements of two Students for Life college groups that have excelled in promoting pregnant and parenting resources. (One award will be given to an East Coast group; the other award will be given to an West Coast group.)

The SFLA Pregnant on Campus Groups of the Year should demonstrate success in pregnant and parenting advocacy and outreach on their college campus. This group should show significant efforts to change their campus to embrace practices and policies that protect and assist pregnant and parenting students.
