Pro-Life Man Sued by Abortion Groups for Calling Abortion Murder

Mark Lee Dickson, a pro-life activist in Texas, is being sued by three pro-abortion organizations for referring to abortion groups as “criminal organizations” and abortion as “murder.” Dickson is the director of Right to Life East Texas, an organization that has worked to declare various cities and towns in Texas as sanctuaries for the pre-born. The same abortion groups that are now suing him – the Lilith Fund, the Afiya Center, and the Texas Equal Access Fund – had previously worked with the ACLU of Texas and ACLU National to sue cities for banning abortion within their jurisdiction. We’re Opposed to Nominee (insert name here)

By Brenna Lewis, SFLA Staff Writer

We all remember being half disgusted, half amused when the Women’s March issued their statement opposing President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee and forgot to replace their “XXX” with Kavanaugh’s name. We knew pro-abortion groups across the board would oppose any Trump pick, no matter who it was. But having their blunder make it so obvious is, at the same time, a bit of a wake-up call.

Pro-abortion senators have vowed to fight tooth and nail against the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court (never mind that he is perfectly qualified for the job and is a fairly moderate nominee). Unsurprisingly, Roe v. Wade is one of the top reasons for this latest edition of their “end of the world” routine. Abortion has become a major supportive pillar of the Democratic Party; pro-life Democrats are no longer allowed in the club.

With confirmation hearings starting soon, there are a few Senators we expect to launch character attacks on Kavanaugh, because we’ve seen them do it with Gorsuch as well as other judicial nominees. The ringleaders of this anticipated battle against Kavanaugh are Senators Cory Booker of New Jersey, Dick Durbin of Illinois, and Dianne Feinstein of California. This shady trio has already been trying to lay the groundwork for degrading the nominee from the comfort of their fabricated throne of virtue. They should certainly be the leaders of the crusade against Kavanaugh’s character – after all, what have they ever done wrong?

Let’s start with Senator Cory Booker, the celebrity social media extraordinaire from New Jersey. Our entire purpose in highlighting Booker and his comrades is to point out that they favor making personal attacks instead of professional critiques. Booker made this pretty easy by saying outright that, “…this has nothing to do with politics.”  And a few sentences later, “You are either complicit in evil, you are either contributing to wrong, or you are fighting against it.” Calling the nominee evil? Getting a bit personal.

Senator Booker has historically had a casual relationship with the truth. His early 2000s bid for mayor of Newark was plastered with stories about a drug lord named T-Bone who supposedly roamed his neighborhood streets. Booker repeatedly claimed to have reformed this wayward soul… who by all accounts appears to have been a figment of his imagination. Years later, Booker praised his then colleague Jeff Sessions following a civil rights award at the Capitol, saying he felt “blessed and honored to have partnered with Senator Sessions” on the award. But when it became politically expedient, Booker later pulled a 180 and ardently spoke out against Sessions due to – wait for it – his stances on various civil rights issues.

Next comes Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois (affectionately known to his critics as Dick Dirtbag). Mr. Durbin’s claim to fame is his abuse of power. In 2013, he sent a letter to 300 supporters of the conservative group, ALEC, demanding to know whether these donors were still supporting ALEC. He also illegally demanded that ALEC release its donor list to him. Free speech is fine, in Dick’s opinion, unless he disagrees with your message. Durbin has historically voted to force religious organizations to pay for abortifacient drugs, and was even barred by the Bishop of Springfield, IL from receiving Holy Communion following his vote in support of late-term abortion earlier this year. STILL on the topic of Catholic discrepancies, Durbin teamed up with Dianne Feinstein (we’ll get to her) to interrogate Amy Coney Barrett about her religious beliefs. He supposedly considers himself a Catholic, making the bigotry in his question, “Are you an orthodox Catholic?” a bit odd.

Finally, we reach Dianne Feinstein of California. As mentioned, she got aboard Durbin’s anti-Catholic train while grilling Amy Coney Barrett about her faith background at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in September. Feinstein’s chosen line of questioning expressed much doubt about Barrett’s ability to judge fairly since “the dogma lives loudly within you [Barrett].” Submitting judicial nominees to a religious examination is obviously dubious on several grounds. Apart from her religious discrimination and reliable pro-abortion vote, one of our other favorite scandals involved her funneling of government resources into benefitting her husband’s company, the CBRE Group Inc. Naturally, she denied having any involvement with such a thing.

Do these senators, and their less outspoken acquaintances, have any ground to stand on when it comes to questioning the character of Nominee Brett Kavanaugh? We can have an educated discussion about his actual judiciary work… but until they’re ready to do that, it is so important that we let all of our senators nationwide know that we support the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
