All abortion opposers aren’t Christian, but all Christians should be abortion opposers. That’s why it was shocking to learn that Joshua Cole, a pastor in Fredericksburg, Virginia and a candidate for delegate in Virginia, supports unlimited abortion.
Cole is a pastor at Union Bell Baptist church. He also is an unabashed supporter for unlimited abortion on demand, something that 88% of Virginians oppose, from all political, racial, and religious perspectives.
Another poll by the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement found that only 7% of Millennials, which Cole describes himself as, support Cole’s position of unlimited abortions and paid for by taxpayers. Another poll by College Pulse found that up to 86% of college students rejected unlimited abortion on demand.
A5: By ensuring continued funding for Planned Parenthood which provides STI screenings, trans-healthcare, & family planning. I will fight against any attempts to criminalize abortion. I trust women, and always will. #FlipVABlue #VADemsChat #JCole4VA https://t.co/htPgLtzXPb

Joshua Cole’s allegiance to Planned Parenthood is troubling, considering they supported Kathy Tran’s legislation in last February to legalize all abortions and force taxpayers to pay for it. Tran’s legislation, and Governor Ralph Northam’s endorsement of it, and infanticide in general, embarrassed the state of Virginia, along with Northam’s former history with blackface.
The story reminds us of other stories of “clergy” “blessing” Planned Parenthood.
For example, the Huffington Post reported in 2017, “Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and secular leaders gathered inside Planned Parenthood Metro Washington’s new Carol Whitehill Moses health center on Tuesday to perform a blessing of the space.
The event, co-hosted by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, included interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about why it was important ― politically and spiritually ― for women to have autonomy over their own bodies.” You can read the full story here.
