Pro-Life Man Sued by Abortion Groups for Calling Abortion Murder

Mark Lee Dickson, a pro-life activist in Texas, is being sued by three pro-abortion organizations for referring to abortion groups as “criminal organizations” and abortion as “murder.” Dickson is the director of Right to Life East Texas, an organization that has worked to declare various cities and towns in Texas as sanctuaries for the pre-born. The same abortion groups that are now suing him – the Lilith Fund, the Afiya Center, and the Texas Equal Access Fund – had previously worked with the ACLU of Texas and ACLU National to sue cities for banning abortion within their jurisdiction. New Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler: “All Life is a Blessing”

Last week, at the Georgia State Capitol, congressmen, representatives, and other Georgia officials gathered in anxious anticipation to hear from the newly appointed Georgia Senator, Kelly Loeffler. Shortly after addressing the room, Governor Brian Kemp introduced businesswoman Loeffler who is set to succeed pro-life advocate Senator Johnny Isakson.

Loeffler took to the podium saying, “I haven’t spent my life trying to get to Washington. But here’s what folks are gonna find out about me: I’m a lifelong conservative. Pro-Second Amendment. Pro-military. Pro-wall. And pro-Trump.” She continued to say that she has lived the American dream and grew up in a rural farming community and that is where her conservative values stem from. Loeffler went on to say that she would support legislation for a 20 week abortion ban and that ‘all life is a blessing.’

Kelly Loeffler is on the board as a board member of Grady Hospital in Atlanta that has committed abortions in the past, though claims to no longer commit elective abortions. She’s also a co-owner of WNBA team Atlanta Dream. The WNBA has supported Planned Parenthood, though her team has never directly donated. These connections have caused pro-life groups to question her commitment to the cause.

During questioning, Loeffler addressed these concerns that she has already received from conservative groups regarding her pro-life stance. Loeffler responded by saying that she is “strongly pro-life and angered by these claims that have no basis.” She continued to refute these accusations by saying that she has not given a dime to Planned Parenthood and some of her strongest political giving has been to pro-life candidates.

Governor Kemp has a long history of pro-life beliefs and actions and chimed in to add that he would not be sending anyone to Washington D.C. who did not share those same beliefs “not only at the heartbeat and conception, but all throughout life.”

Students for Life of America looks forward to working alongside Kelly Loeffler to protect all life in Georgia.
